This NEVER happens in NYC....right? Brokers never lie. This guy should have his license stripped immediately. 'What happened to the granite that was in the pictures?' - buyer 'they updated the ktichen to the old 70's style with rustic stoves. It's the new hip thing to do' - Luis http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/broker_real_faker_vhYvwYZXwljgulLIBtZolI
Interesting.
He and his brother started out by making false IDs in college. But his broker profile only says he has a background in finance and film directing.
hahahahaha
>> “I did Photoshop the pictures — but when the brokers said they weren’t real, I pulled them and had an architect do a rendering,” Ortiz told The Post.
What's the difference between Photoshop-ing pictures and an architectural rendering? Surely the line to be crossed is in whether the pictures are passed off as real or not. But I don't think I ever see architectural renderings denoted as such, even though to my eyes it's pretty clear from the pics.
Right, all those new-construction ads with miniature furniture and people.
I saw some of that Selling NY episode, where Ortiz's bosses were telling him that was a license-losing trick and they'd shit-can him if he did it again. All I remember about the house was the sellers raising the price after the buyers had met the asking, and the guy being obnoxious and wearing even more makeup than the brokers.
Pleeeeeze ... ALL THE REALITY SHOWS MAKE UP CRAP FOR TV VIEWERS.
I actually prefer the 'before' photos. The photo-shopped crap is super-tacky. I mean, puh-leeze. Who's gonna want shiny black granite counters and Pergo plank flooring? Dude must be from Jersey. Or the g'Island.

what ever happened to the shows Selling NY and Selling LA? I think I saw two or three new episodes a few months back and that was it.
Maybe there weren't enough brokers who wanted to be on TV.
The HGTV site has it at 7:00 some morning or other. Current season must be in reruns already.
>Current season must be in reruns already.
It is summer.
very late Spring
Just to be clear and put it out there....there is a difference between "Million Dollar Listing" and "Selling NY". The former is Bravo, the latter is HGTV. The shows are less sensationalized on HGTV.
Do they have little white lies on HGTV? http://streeteasy.com/nyc/talk/discussion/35547-a-little-white-lie-isnt-going-to-kill-anybody
