About Me
*** Danielle Kaminsky is a rental specialist and assistant to David Cooper at Douglas Elliman in New York City. ***
In a city as complex as New York, even the simplest rental transaction can become a delicate dance. That’s where Danielle Kaminsky comes in. Her love of jazz and ballet, which blossomed during the years she spent studying dance, has led her to become the disciplined professional that she is today. And disciplined she is…especially when it comes to following through for the clients who rely on her to help them market – or help them find – the perfect Manhattan rental.
What’s more, Danielle is a native New Yorker. She grew up in Hell’s Kitchen and spent her formative years watching her family invest in Manhattan real estate, so she’s literally grown up in the business. She puts that insider knowledge to work, managing and representing rental transactions and rental listings. As such, she oversees all of the marketing for each rental and negotiates and handles all of the details necessary to close those deals. Danielle also advises clients directly, and equally, helping them to find the rental that best suits their needs regardless of their price point, preferences and particular neighborhood.
Though Manhattan is, and has always been, her home base, Danielle is well-traveled and can tune into the needs of clients from other cultures. She is Argentinean, Russian and German and has studied both Hebrew and Spanish, two languages she aspires to become fully fluent in. So many renters live in multiple countries and their New York home is just one piece of their larger real estate puzzle. They appreciate working with someone who intuitively understands who they are and where they come from.
Clients also benefit from Danielle’s detail-oriented ways. A graduate of Pace University’s Lubin School of Business, she spent the past four years working with attorneys, most recently as a paralegal, so she is meticulous in the way she approaches each transaction.
And she assists a broker who goes above and beyond as well. David Cooper puts his clients first and success naturally follows. He is a standout, even among seasoned brokers. Whether it’s for a buyer, seller or investor, David will combine his extensive knowledge of New York City real estate, his customers’ wants and needs, and produce an outcome that will more than satisfy every time. It’s that quality, along with his genuine sincerity and professional integrity that makes him one of the top brokers in Manhattan.
So, if you are in the market to rent in New York City, or need to put your rental on the market, Danielle is happy to help. You can rest assured she will be en pointe.

What a mess. In her petition to become Grandma's guardian, Danielle says her mother orchestrated the $5.2M in debt on the properties over five years, so as to fund her shopaholic hoarding.
It'd make a good book if someone could sort out all the conflicting claims.

According to ex-son-in-law Kaminsky and his exhibits, she was born Marta Pedraza in Argentina, where she married De Moyano, her daughter's father. She was convicted on Federal fraud charges for collecting his Social Security payments for 15 years after he died. She had her name changed to Sarah Weinberg because she was a RE broker, people were misspelling her name, and she wanted something generic. He says she made up the whole escape-from-Germany, Holocaust-survivor story as a shtick and to get sympathy from the press.
The judge will sum it all up for us, once he's decided who to believe.
1. the 24% interest being charged might raise a usury issue
2. last time I looked maximum interest rate on a corporate loan was 24$ but on zn individual one 16%
3. banks are exempt from the 16% limit
4. but an assignee of a bank should not be
5. which raises the question: if the 24% rate is illegal as now applied, does that
invalidate the entire mortgage as usurious
Here's the complaint: https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/fbem/DocumentDisplayServlet?documentId=SYptXFLlTSUiSk0V2iHRAw==&system=prod
One of the plaintiffs, David Kaminsky, is one of the Streeteasy featured bloggers on legal matters.
It'll be interesting to see how he and the others answer the complaint.
Here's Mrs. Weinberg's affidavit, which lays out her version of the events in an easier-to-follow way: https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/fbem/DocumentDisplayServlet?documentId=yyewHl43fZt/xehmTMV7Aw==&system=prod

NWT and greensdale: It's not nice of them to fool Grandmother Nature.

She had a headache.

Her lawyer says she needs a guardian to act for her, and he seems to be right.
NWT: That's what happened with the Mrs. Astor situation.
