Alex Furst, a senior member of the Puopolo Team, offers a higher grade service than just a traditional Real Estate agent. He is considered a trusted business advisor with specialties ranging from commercial relocation and business planning to investment sales and value analysis. Alex’s hybrid expertise encompasses commercial sales, commercial landlord and tenant representation, and luxury residential sales and development.
Since 2003, Alex has successfully served the needs of his clientele through extreme market conditions. “The years following the bubble were a true test of my ability as a professional. It was survival of the fittest, and I rose to the challenge”. In 2007, while in Miami, Alex began this adaptation by specializing in distressed market sales, a field which focuses on short sales, foreclosures, and bank-owned investments. Despite facilitating transactions in this stressful market, his career took on a new high. He was repeatedly recognized and awarded for closing over 50 transactions annually. His talents attracted the attention of investors both locally and around the world.
Over the past several years, he has focused on providing an exceptional service to New York City. He offers a unique prospective that can be gained only by experiencing a wide scope of transactions. “One of the best services I can offer is the ability to analyze a property, not just on the surface, but factoring in all the exterior and personal elements involved in the transaction. Whether it is a business, investor, or consumer, I believe my contribution to the process is vital”.
Alex is an alumnus of the University of Miami, where he earned a degree in Communications. Native to the Northeast, Alex was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. While growing up, he witnessed his entrepreneurial father develop dozens of successful small businesses such as restaurants, music education, and retail outfits. “Growing up in this environment only fueled my independent business spirit. I have always prided myself on my hard work. I’ve had a job since I was 13 years old.”
The Puopolo Team has been recognized in highly regarded publications for deals such as 145 East 57th Street (Hammacher Schlemmer office building); 85 Leonard Street (National Landmark condo building); Greenpoint Lofts (Director of sales and marketing for the 68 unit commercial condo building), and for marketing and selling the famous mixed use building owned by landmark activist Jane Jacobs at 555 Hudson Street. Notable commercial leasing transactions range from retail to office space representing established businesses, such as: Ercole Furniture; Sid Lee - Advertising Agency; Contemporary Conservation; Yolanda Cuomo Design and the American Lung Association in New York. The Puopolo Team has represented the sales and leasing of over $150,000,000+ in property value, which include well over 100 transactions.
