Did any more washer dryers in the apartments catch on fire like in 2014? Does the Board have an inventory of washer-dryers in the apartments? Has the building engineer inspected these machines and removed the faulty machines?

Fieldschester, I only see it posted once and your comment isn't a discussion. Has an inventory of the old washer/dryers been done? Has the electrical outlets been check. Have the personal washer/dryers fires in the apartments at 55 stopped?
For buyers looking, I have a querie about violations. i have been actively looking and I like 55 EEA but there are numerous violations on the building. When i look at other buildings, like 80 EEA I see the same, even more DOB hits! Other buildings have old linens. I find it odd that EEA and established co-ops have this issue. What's going on? My friends that are brokers are dismissive of these violations, yet is there deeper issues with in the operational and management of these buildings?
These are new violations. The "new" superintendent of December 2013 has left and there is a new superintendent. The handyman left. 3 managing agents since 2013. Same management agency, AKAM. Something is going on. Normally when buildings "clean house" violations are removed. Opposite is happening here and these are serious violations.
