A new housing lottery was recently announced for 106 new units at the historic Randolph Houses North at 265 W. 114th St. in Central Harlem. The deadline to apply for this new Central Harlem housing lottery is April 6, 2018.

There are two brackets for qualification, at 50 and 60 percent of the area median income, with rents ranging from $675 for studios to $1,289 for 3-bedrooms. See details in the chart below.

Amenities in the building include a live-in super, 24-hour security, elevators, storage cages, bike storage, residents’ lounge, computer room, laundry rooms, and outdoor recreation space.

The Randolph Houses were built in the 1890s and acquired by the New York City Housing Authority in the 1970s. They gained landmark status in 2014, and were given more than $18 million in historical state and federal tax credits for renovations. According to NYCHA, the exterior facades of the brownstones have been restored, and “the historic circulation patterns of each tenement building were preserved, including the stoop, front entry, and stairs.”
