A new mixed-use development in Coney Island has now opened a new affordable housing lottery for 52 apartments at Surf Vets Place, located at 3003 21st St. between W. 20th and W. 21st St. The new development is adjacent to MCU Park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball team and Luna Park, Coney Island’s famous amusement park.

The new apartments are aimed for low, middle-income earners with annual salaries between $27,395 for a single person up to $72,600 for a 6-person household.

The target lottery applicants will earn at 50 percent and 60 percent of the area median income, and could win the chance to live in 1, 2 or 3-bedroom apartments with rents that range from $759 a month up to $1,289.
