A new affordable housing lottery has opened at 810 Fulton St. in Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill neighborhood, adding 73 units to an area already bustling with new development. The 12-story building bordered by Fulton Street, Clermont and Vanderbilt Avenues is scheduled to be completed in 2019. Deadline to apply is Dec 20, 2018.
The lower level of the building will offer commercial retail space and underground parking, while upper-level residential units will feature balconies and terraces. Inside the building, residents will have plenty of space to spread out as the building boasts a courtyard, furnished roof deck, residents’ lounge and business center. Each apartment will also have a washer and dryer in-unit. The location is hard to beat, with attractions like the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Barclays Center and the Atlantic Center all nearby.
How to Apply for the Fulton Street Housing Lottery
Still under construction, the development will have 363 apartments total once completed, of which 73 are offered via housing lottery. The designated affordable units will be available to applicants earning 60 percent of the area median income. Rents range from $913 per month for a studio to $1,183 per month for a 2-bedroom, varying with household size and income. See the chart below for a detailed breakdown of apartment size and income requirements.
Applicants who are Municipal Employees or members of Brooklyn Community Board 2 will receive preference, as well as those with disabilities impacting their mobility, vision and hearing.
