A brand-new housing lottery in Bedford Park, Bronx, is offering 46 units to qualifying earners making between $32,675 for a single person, up to $64,020 for a 4-person household.
Located at 2865 Creston Ave., the units at Bedford Green House are available to households earning 60% of the area median income (see the chart below). Residents of Bronx Community Board 7 will receive preference for 50% of the units and municipal employees 5%. The building will include on-site support services for residents.
Edelman Sultan Knox Wood designed the 118-unit, 82,725-square-foot Bedford Green House as a mixed-use supportive housing project to “encourage socialization and security including accessibility and physical activity.” The architects received loans from public organizations like the Supportive Housing Loan Program of the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD).
Winners of this housing lottery will have access to amenities such as two elevators, a bicycle storage room, laundry room, 24-hour front desk concierge, roof-top terrace, green roof and playground.
