Barbara Parks

My name is Barbara L Parks. I believe that success in real estate involves hard and dedicated work. “The harder I work, the luckier I get.” I believe that a real estate transaction involves a team approach. The team is comprised of the client, broker, attorney, banker, insurance agent, and perhaps a multitude of other service providers. It is my role to provide these people when necessary, act as facilitator and problem solver. I anticipate what may become a problem, and then solve it. My former career was as Assistant Principal in the highly regarded Northern Valley Regional HS District in northern Bergen County, NJ.Two high schools serving seven towns were located in Old Tappan and Demarest, NJ. In addition to these two towns, the district served the towns of Closter, Harrington Park, Haworth, Northvale, and Norwood.My responsibilities presiding over 1000 students, their families, 75 teachers, guidance counselors, and support staff prepared me well for the real estate profession. I have developed tenacity, patience, attention to detail, strong feelings of empathy, and of course, humor and optimism. I am an avid tennis and Bridge player. Both of these games require teamwork and communication. The key is to communicate clearly and precisely. The same is true in a real estate transaction. I believe in daily communication by telephone, e-mails, or texts. Partnership and close teamwork are keys to a smooth and successful transaction. I have represented sellers, buyers, tenants, and landlords in Manhattan. I have worked for Stribling and Halstead, and I am pleased to represent Charles Rutenberg. I have earned repeat business and respect from former clients. I thrive on the challenges presented in the industry.
