Unit & Building: This is a 1280 sq ft. 1 bedroom (+ another room which has almost always been used as a bedroom), 1 bathroom, huge kitchen and living\dining areas. Plus a ~150 sq ft private outdoor patio. This apt for rent is on the ground floor (not street-side) of the Newswalk Condominium. Just inside the entrance there is a huge (for NYC) walk-in closet for plenty of storage.

Upon entry you’ll notice the high ceilings (12’ I think) and exposed ducts as you come to the open kitchen with granite counters and appliances (gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave). Pseudo breakfast counter behind the stove-top.

The main common area is completely open from kitchen to dining to living ‘rooms’.

The big master bedroom has another walk-in closet (all closest have been redone using Container Store’s Alpha style) and easily fits a king-size bed as well as any additional furniture you want.

Tile floor bathroom – with the curved shower curtain rod you’ve always wanted – but otherwise very average.
The additional room has been used as another bedroom, an office and a nursery at different times while I lived there.

No view, nor tons of light – am I too honest?

Neighborhood: The front of the building points towards Dean St., the rear is on Pacific St, between 6th Ave and Carlton. Located in the best part of Prospect Heights when it comes to transportation options: two blocks from the 2,3 at Bergen; and a five-minute walk to the Barclays Center and the Atlantic Terminal transportation hub and shopping center. ~18 mins to Wall St and ~35 mins to midtown. 15-minute walk to Prospect Park (the Saturday Farmers’ Market), the library, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and the Brooklyn Museum.
