Offer bids?

Not a bidding war but more or less an offer war. The unit I finally got an accepted offer for was below about 5% from asking (down 20% from last year's listing). Funny enough, yes I did start about 20% less (from current). Immediately rejected because there was already an offer for 15% less. It kept going up and up. Settled on 5% less. People are buying it seems. Another broker I talked to today begged me to just make an offer, any offer. I picked a random number (75% less) and offered. Using that number, he must of called ALL of his clients telling them that there is an offer, he called back later in the day tell me that the offers are coming. Funny how people are so ready to jump at any sign of offers. Just like me :)
