10% jump in listing on SE from last week ???

i was followng the Macro Listings on SE last week we were at 20K listing approx and now we jumped into 23K....noticed there is a game going on in the listings cause the ACRIS database doesnt tie up to the sales. i don't think Manhattan sold 2000 Apartments last month or last week for that matter. ??????
