I’m currently involved in a Hoboken real estate transaction where the buyer had to change their attorney during the attorney review period. Basically they were using an attorney from out of the area who really didn’t know the process of handling a New Jersey real estate transaction. After 10 days of being in “attorney review” (the average period of time is about 5 business days), they changed lawyers to a local Hoboken real estate attorney to expedite the process. I've put together some tips from my experience of working with buyers and sellers which may be useful in selecting a real estate attorney.
