Hi, looking for a bit of advice, we found this place, they seem pretty negotiable on price and we've already gotten to below $4000 to $3800 now and 2 months free rent (this isn't till the beginning of the year). They say they are going to fix up the apartment, it's kind of run down now and I think smells a bit (and I am actually concerned about that even though they say it is just the current occupant). We like the area, the building is ok and definitely wish it were a higher floor. Any perspectives, I know people here know the market pretty well. Should we be getting a better deal than we are currently talking about with them? My bf thinks we can get it at $3500 but I don't want to piss them off and lose it to another applicant (presuming we get over the smell thing).
