BUYER BEWARE 55 VESTRY St. VIOLATES CITY and D.E.P Noise Pollution Codes Despite violations issued by New York City Department of Environmental Protection, the sponsors of 55 Vestry Street, Atlantic Walk LLC, continue to ignore both the NYC Department of Building%u2019s and Department of Environmental Protection's noise limits for roof top air ventilation systems of 42db. This excessive noise, verified by readings taken by the D.E.P, some as high as 65db, pollutes the neighborhood 24 hours a day and degrades the quality of life for those living in it. It is clear from their recent actions that Atlantic Walk LLC and the broker, Prudential Douglas Elliman, intend to keep this information from its buyers, stonewall its neighbors, delay the city of New York, the D.E.P and the Environmental Control Board until all units have been sold thereby passing fines and expenses on to the condo buyers. Don%u2019t let this problem become yours. Do your due diligence and ask Atlantic Walk LLC what they are doing to resolve this issue and when they expect to comply with the law. [less]
