Broker Says Lower Commission Complicate My Sale

I am selling my apartment and have negotiated a sales commission of 5% (compared to the standard 6%). My agent has cautioned me that this lower commission may discourage buyer's brokers from bringing their clients to see my apartment (because the buyer's broker might earn a better fee if his client buys a standard 6% commission apartment). Is this a valid reason not to go with the lower commission? Or should I stick with 5%?
