renovate or sell estate condiiton

I have a 2bed 1bath west 70's 800 sqft pre-war coop that is in estate condition. Unfortunately, my family and I will either have to sell or rent our apt. I would like to know opinions of whether I should spend $50-75K to renovate(low ball..with demo done diy), or sell inestate condition. Would the money spent in reno increase by 50%+ in money spent on reno thanks, jo
