I've been trying to arrange a second showing for a place I really liked after seeing it at an open house. I like the place a lot and am willing to put in a bid that's very fair; however, I just want to look at the place one more time before taking the leap. The seller's agent is on board & has been trying to get in touch with the seller for approval to show, but the seller has not responded for several days now. They are not having another open house for a few weeks, or else I would have just waited and gone to another one. I understand it's hard to juggle work and other commitments while getting a place ready to show--however, I think several days is enough notice (or alternatively, the seller could just say a quick 'no' instead of keeping his agent and me hanging). I'm wondering if this is the first sign of a problem seller, and if anyone has had a bad experience buying from a seller who was flaky from the start. Although the place is great, I don't want to get into a situation where I'm about to lose my rate because the seller is dragging his/her feet, etc. The place is tiny, and I don't think it would be a big hassle getting it ready to show (I've helped my parents get a place 20x bigger than this ready to show with barely any advance notice...it's definitely possible). Thanks in advance for any advice! [less]
