AMT and co-purchasing question

Discussion about
If two individuals co-purchase a co-op and only one of them is subject to the AMT, can the other deduct the maintenance/ taxes? So for example, a parental co-purchase. If the child actually pays the monthly maintenance, can he or she claim the deductions? Any help is appreciated!
