Whatever you do, DO NOT RENT IN THIS BUILDING. I moved into a newly renovated apartment in this building early July. While they were just finishing up the renovation, the Magnum Management representative assured us that the unit would be completely move-in ready in by the time our lease started, on July 5th. This was a blatant lie. Our mailboxes had not been inspected since the renovations began last March, and if we wanted to receive mail from the United States Postal Service we were told to go to the post office. In addition to mail, the gas meters had not been installed nor the pipes inspected. I have been living in this apartment without a working stovetop since move in, and repeated calls to management have yielded extremely vague answers, such as, "It should be working in two weeks". Another tenant expressed to me that she has been without gas or mail since March 2012. Finally, several units in the building are in the very early stages of renovation (including the unit DIRECTLY above me) and construction--banging, sawing, and drilling--commences at 8 am, 6 days a week. Both Magnum Management and PVE Associates have been anything but helpful or considerate. Please, do yourself a huge favor and do not rent in this building, or any other property associated with Magnum or PVE Associates. [less]
