A.J. Clarke, the managment company are a bunch of liars. They are not easy to work except for one guy who is retiring so he won't be there any logner. AJ Clarke will make a huge commission on you, non-negotiable on the commission, and will tell you whatever they need to in order to get you into the building and then keep none of their promises. We made the mistake of moving in before renovations were completed. Big mistake. The renovations were a JOKE. The apartment was NOT what they told us we could expect. The owner of the building is a total greedy, money hungry monster who doesn't care about his tenants only about his bottom line. He LOVES to raise the rent really high after you're in for a little while. Check your apartment history to see if he's ripping you off with the rent. Most likely, he is. He is good for the first couple of years, not raising the rent to high so that you won't look into the situation, but as soon as he passes the time period that renters have to check on whether or not they are being charged too much (three or four years), he figures it's too late and then he jacks the rent way high to get you out and another person in who will pay more and will have to pay AJ Clarke a broker's fee (ours was $4000.00). Both the management company and the owner are scammers. The apartment is not worth the aggravation. [less]
