Rental at 120 West 23rd Street

Stay away from this building. Worst management company I've ever dealt with, and worst building I've ever lived in. The newly renovated apartments are lovely, but the good news ends there. The day after we renewed our lease, we came home to red and yellow tape across this very apartment (adjacent to ours) warning of asbestos removal. Construction in the building is nearly constant, including Saturday mornings, and very loud. The elevators don't work (though they are allegedly being replaced). I've gotten stuck for up for 45 min at a time, and must walk up/down 14 flights of stairs at least 3 times per week.
