Implications of global asset sell-off on NYC RE

It's NYC - space is gold but does this market exist in a vacuum or will the global asset sell-off (stocks&bonds) translate into softening RE prices? I don't expect prices to plummet to 2009 levels but we have seen a sharp rally in prices over the last few months. Would make sense to see some of that run-up retrace. Low inventory keeps prices in check but it seems like there is a fair bit of supply coming down the pike, especially downtown. I guess the question is buy now or wait??
