My wife and I looked at an apartment in this building (301 E 69th, the Mayfair) and really liked it. As you know, there is an entrance to the 2nd ave subway on the corner of the building (not in front of the building entrance, but on 2nd avenue), and there's an Ancillary building (I think for ventilation?) diagonally opposite.
After digging in, I saw that the Escalators and other stuff will be well below the building. there's also an easement I believe (don't knw much about this had to google to find out) :)

While I personally think it's great to have the subway entrance so close, can someone please explain the ramifications and complications, if any, due to the construction under the building? Also, the Ancillary unit's impact? We're a first time buyer in nyc and need some guidance.
