The building itself has good layout apartments, yet the management is terrible. Avoid it if you can. The building itself has good layout apartments, yet the management is terrible. Avoid it if you can. You will find yourself living with mice and roaches, and almost every month, there is at least a problem with your apartment, such as: no heat, no hot water, and mold. Some tenants have had fallen ceilings and non-functional telecom for years. The owner owns many buildings in Manhattan, all conveniently located near transportation. He especially love Chinese or other Asian students as his apartments are good for share in size, and students pay the rent and does not complain much. He also raises the rent by more than 10 %. Even rent-stablized tenants sometimes face illegal rent increase and have brought him to court. Although contractors painted the buildings hallways to make them look better, the owner remains the same; don't be fooled.
