Popcorn acoustic ceiling removal

Hi all, I'm looking to remove the popcorn acoustic ceiling (non asbestos) in a recently purchased co-op in the Kips Bay/NoMad area. Can anyone provide an estimate of cost for this project? The space is roughly 350 sq ft. Would it be worth it to have the entire place painted along with the popcorn ceiling removal (which is the more difficult project) or do it separately? Also, if anyone knows of a good painter/contractor that is available within the next month to get the job done, please do share contact information. Many thanks in advance!
