Engineered wood floor darken

Hi, We hired two groups to darken our brand new engineered wood floor but both of them cannot deliver even color. We spent quite some time and money on this and are desperate now. Both of them did sand the floor before applying stain on it. Has anyone done similar job before and recommend some companies that can do the job. Urgent since we should have moved in by now if it is not because of this. Thx a lot!
