Discussion about
I bought my first tiny studio apartment... with some cheap parquet floors. The building is 1920 pre-war concrete walls, ceiling, subfloor. What I would like to do is rip up the parquet and sleepers, pour a 1/2" self-leveling topping slab and stain the concrete. Does anyone have experience with this? If I were to tackle a project like this myself, would I be required to hire a contractor? I would rip the floors up in a day and hire a hauling company to take out a couple barrels of debris, and pour the slab myself. I am not touching plumbing/electric. Thanks!
