Wow! First, this is NOT A NEW listing. It has been thrown on and off the market numerous times for almost two years. Something is not clean about this sale. My husband and I attempted to buy unit 9f more than a year and a half ago. We offered all cash, impeccable credentials and reference letters. From our experience, this appears to be a difficult board. We were rejected and never even received the courtesy of a phone call or letter to our broker. We would have left it at that, licked our wounds and gotten over the disappointment. However, the owner's son and real estate broker, who may still be behind this listing, Adam Plotch, led us on for six more months, claiming that he held unsold shares and could circumvent the board. It never lead to anything except a waste of time and four thousand dollars in application, credit check and attorneys fees. We moved on and purchased a lovely co-op and still thank fate that we DODGED a bullet in not purchasing at 230 West End. The only reason we are posting this is because we don't want this to happen to another prospective buyer. The worst of it was that we wasted months and lost a window of opportunity to make an offer on other homes that were well priced at the time. Good luck. T [less]
