With all this discussion about Rangel's rent controlled apartments, is it still possible to find a rent controlled apartment or are most apartments deregulated once the current renter dies or it passes onto their family? I think that the rent controlled apartment goes back to the landlord once the current tenant moves out unless it has a right to succession, but after it is returned, is the apartment generally deregulated or put back onto the market? Also, how do you find these apartments?
