I recently signed a lease on an apartment, and realized (after I signed the lease) that the address on the listing was wrong (a couple doors off) -- although I was definitely shown the listing in the pictures and the lease had the correct address as well. Is this a sign of a dodgy agent, or just something like a way of protecting a non-exclusive listing? As a second question, after signing a lease, what is a reasonable amount of time to wait (without unreasonably complaining) to be given the countersigned lease back? I signed two weeks ago, move-in is in two weeks. My concern is that (as stated) the landlord wants to leave some furniture behind, but I can't arrange the move without knowing what furniture I'm bringing. I asked if she'd put me in touch with the landlord to work things out, and she said she'd do so after the lease was executed. (Does this suggest that she's the Landlord's agent, but doesn't have an exclusive agreement, so doesn't want me contacting the landlord directly... or is it possible that something nefarious is going on here?)
