I live in 75 Wall. Very pleasant. The area's much better than I was expecting -- plenty of bars and restaurants, although more open during the week than at the weekend. The amenities floor in 75 Wall is completed (gym, lounges etc), and the lobby is underway (no idea when it'll be finished). Roof terrace sometime this summer. The hotel in the bottom half of the building is still scheduled for opening in September (http://www.globest.com/news/1393_1393/newyork/178203-1.html).

How many people have actully moved into the building? Is anyone concerned that the maintenance costs will be sky high if they do not close the majority of the building?

Interesting - neeta, do you have any more info (like a link) on the rent to own program?

Thanks - DT

I went to have a look at a 2BR apartment (rental) the other day. The building ended-up being too far East for us, and the overall design could have been a bit more, say, progressive for our taste. But overall, we liked the layout and build-quality of the apartment itself. And it was bright, which isn't that easy to find down there.

Unless you have some burning desire to be in FIDI -- there are much better nabes in nyc. FIDI can be a bit desolate at night and on weekends. Also I'd be wary at this time of new developments as financing is hard to get for buildings that don't have at least 50% sold. The pricing on these apartments is high +1200 ppsf for a cookie cutter apartment. Really it depends on what you want out of your neighborhood or apartment. personally i'd flee from this one.
