Im interested in putting a bid in on this building .. does anyone know how the people that moved in are doing in regards to noise levels ?? When I looked at the building I could hear people through the walls looking at other units. I dont want this to be an issue if I was living there ... to hear people talking in the next room is just not what I want in a unit that I own. Any comments?
Also - How negotiable is the developer at this time with so many units still on the market?

Hi,
I live in the building and while I don't have any neighbors on my floor, I'm frequently at home during the open houses. I hear people talking in the hallway, but I've never heard them in the adjacent apartments. I hear some noise from the apartment above mine if my neighbor comes home and hasn't taken her shoes off, but at this point, I consider that typical for ny apartments. Sound is really amplified in a completely bare apartment. The acoustics in mine got much better after i started filling it with stuff and putting down rugs, etc.
At this point, I think you could negotiate a good deal; there are 5 units occupied and there hasn't been any action in months...

Do you feel safe to walk around the neighborhood at night? Is there any supermarket close by?

Hey BKFLEA,
Are you facing North or South? I kind of love the south facing units but the one we looked at last weekend was stuffy as heck with the windows shut and I'm trying to get a handle on what it is going to be like in summer. I'm not a fan of using AC.

amandabee, i face north, but have been in the south facing units during the summer. they get very hot. solar shades and ac would be advisable.
i have always felt safe in the neighborhood and on that block (it's very well lit at night). the closest supermarket is 4 blocks away on lafayette and grand.

I have recently financed a unit in this building, and have it approved for great rates and cheap closing costs. Call or email me to find out more.
