Discussion about
I just used ACRIS for my first time today, but I noticed that it does not include the sales price. Where can I find this data? I want to look at recent sales for 417 Grand Street, zip code 10002. Thanks!

The sales price is indicated on the line that shows the transfer of deed. If the transfer of deed does not show up on ACRIS, it's usually because the transfer took place a long time ago. Sometimes no price will be indicated on a deed line and it is often because the coveyance was not an arms-length transaction. You may want to try Property Shark which also lists sales prices.

So, I was right about alpine only being able to "afford" manhattan because he had a subsidized place, right?

Alpine, if you're looking for your sale to that musician back in 2003(?), it's not there. ACRIS records co-op sales only back through 2004. All you'll see are UCCx's.

If a pre-2004 condo-unit sale, you can calculate the sale price from the 0.4% NYSRE tax amount noted somewhere on the deed docs.
