Wow, what a change! It was the ugly duckling of CPS (looked like it belonged in an eastern block city). The outside of the building actually looks good after the renovation. The apartments look kind of cheap....?

Central Park South is a terrific location, I think, but I'm underwhelmed with that building. Those glass railings on the balconies do like nice, though. CPS is very expensive but, yes, a lot of the units don't seem too impressive.

I agree, the building looks a lot better. It was an eyesore. It's probably a great building to live in if you have a view of the park with a balcony. Those apartments are not cheap. The other apartments in the building with no view should be inexpensive because its just another crappy 1960s brick building. Maybe there could be a little more of a premium for the address.

Doesn't seem so much for a building with over 300 units. Just a very large building.

3P sold for 930k in August 2012and 8M sold for 975k in April 2012. Anyone know if any more of these 1100 sq. ft. Jr. 4 with 1.5 baths (M & P) will come to market?

Hopefully, none of the facade was ripped away in that very painful process. OUCH!!!

@QMN I think that there is an M line for rent. Maybe ask the broker to approach the owner and see if they will sell?

The apartments facing Central Park on a floor higher than the tree tops offer perhaps the best views that exist in New York City.
All of the park facing apartments also have large terraces. Cant beat that when you are standing on a terrace overlooking the park.

I have recently financed a unit in this building, and have it approved for great rates and cheap closing costs. Call or email me to find out more.

Prices are artificially inflated via Seller's Commission as Board is trying to keep prices higher than market. Recent Contract Prices do not reflect true economics for units that need gut renovation. Brokers continue to shop units post Contract in this bldg.

As someone considering buying in the building I would like to hear from residents about what it is like to live at 200 CPS - good experience / service / amenities / functioning / board, etc.? Or not!?
