Discussion about
More than one in four U.S. homes for sale on Sept. 1 had their prices cut at least once since landing on the market, up slightly from a month earlier, a study showed on Friday. As of Sept. 1, a total of 26 percent of homes had their prices reduced, up from 25 percent on Aug.1, Trulia.com said in its monthly price report. http://www.cnbc.com/id/32796614 Of course trulia data aren't reliable - just ask JuiceMan. In Manhattan prices are RISING! BUY NOW OR BE PRICED OUT FOREVER!

As a would-be homebuyer, the way it feels to me anecdotally is like air slowly leaking out of a tire. We had the big bang in fourth quarter of '08, but now it's more like a steady loss of pressure.

stevejhx, just curious what prompts you to constantly post on here? To whom do you try to prove that prices are going down? We heard your point a 100 times by now, aren't you getting bored of it (same applies to steve)? I feel either side is constantly posting news that seem to support their theory. It's getting so tiring.

steve's posts stink of desperation, but I guess he has at least finally given up on his 50% off malarkey.

I no longer think prices are dropping 50% from 1987 to 1991.

carnegie,
just tuned in?
Welcome to the great debate. Life is all about timing. Should I pull the trigger now? how 'bout now?
It all comes down to that simple plan...buy low/sell high.
That begs the question...is todays price high or low?
So here we are watching and inspecting the product and pondering the fairness of the price...which can change daily (in theory).
What did you expect to find on a RE site?

stevejhx, the point is I was in Europe for four weeks and stayed away from the internet. Now that I am back, it's still the same old. Do you ever change your tune? Same for Steve. It's completely predictable what you guys will post. You guys only know black and white, grey shades don't seem to exist in your life.
