This listing is not on Streeteasy.
The broker doesn't seem to know what to say about it: "one of the most architecturally distinct and vastly unique townhouses in Greenwich Village".
I'd say.
I can't decide if this is a good deal at asking price of $3.45m or the most bizarre townhouse I have ever seen. Or both.
The vines block ALL the windows. And then they take over the interior.

If you buy this place, budget for a machete.

What an amazing place. Is it a greenhouse or a gallery? It's a giant sculpture for the person who has everything.

Seems as if they use the ivy instead of shades, which, judging from the pictures, they really need. Roof - glass with sun shades? Again, those pesky neighbors.
Pidtures of the interior are sort of biszarre - concrete?
Maybe it will sell to a wealthy would-be artist who thinks that the village is still populated by "artists" and doesn't know they were priced out long ago (also from Soho, Tribeca, Dumbo, etc. etc.)

The vines just ate the owners and are eyeing the street for more human flesh. Now they're hooked on the stuff and there's no stopping them. Starring Nicolas Cage. The 3.45 M is what they should pay you to assemble a militia and go down there to take on the aggressive green infestation. Seriously.

It could be a great lair for one of Batman's nemesis, the Green Thumb.
Kidding aside, I love it. I don't know if would be practical, but fun, yes.

I wonder if it has a kitchen or bathrooms. And there is mention of a rear carriage house but no pictures, god knows what is going on back there.

Googling the recently deceased owner explains a lot:
With some more pictures of that wacky interior. Still no kitchen.
Somebody bought this for less than 2.85m (last offering price) and is trying to flip it for 3.5m. Good luck!

Its actually pretty amazing when you walk through it. The ivy is gone now. There IS no kitchen, but many amazing little bathrooms including an enclosed glass steam shower and another shower that is right out in the open on a little part of the carriage house.

Price cut to 2.85m and bids were due 11/4. Any guess what this closes for?
