listing in december

very unexpectedly, we came across a place we want to buy, submitted and had an offer accepted. it's all very exciting! but -- now we need to sell our place. we're buying for a deep discount from peak and expect to sell for the same. and I've sold before so I know the process. but december? seems like I'll have two open houses before we have to close up shop for the holidays. I have two open houses to sell. ugh. can anyone tell me about listing in December? is it just the worst time or is there any hope for me at all? we really can't wait til January. thanks!
