Discussion about
Anyone close an apartment around LIC recently? Have prices gone down at all?
Nope. Prices there only ever go UP.
LIC and Williamsburg will have problems for many years to come. There is an enormous amount of inventory, counting shadow, and there will be a lot more as the buildings are completed. I would expect that these "prime" areas in the outer boroughs will be the last to recover.
It boggles my mind that they keep working on the half-completed projects in LIC and Williamsburg. If I were the developer of the Star Tower, I would have handed the empty hole to the bank months ago.
is star tower still building? I thought they stopped?
Ask LICC. He knows everything else.
What are the lic condos selling at now still around $600psf....have any buildings had any closings lately?
I think they are in the 400 - 500 range. Stay away from 1050 jackson, I have a friend who closed in that building and she is very unhappy with the quality of construction, and noise factor.

Oh really? ....so why are the big buildings on the water in wmburg discounting 10=15% at the most right now?
[by the way, my comment is, admittedly, repetitive, but so is this whole board; perhaps they should name a new syndrome for se addiction, with subsets of characteristics for posters who repeat the same thing over and over and over]
My friend just got an accepted offer at casa vizcaya condo, around $500psf.
mousehunter: do you think you can have your friend who accepted his offer at casa vizcaya to contact me? I am also of thinking of buying a unit there and have questions.
The View, which is the nicest condo in LIC, just cut prices about 10%.
