The first thing I thought when I read this article is that they're wiring their money north prior to having themselves shipped north to get in on the big amnesty free-citizenship jamboree -- not 3 million like last time, not 14 million like next time, but 12 million!

It's not just Mexicans who are helping their unemployed family members in NYC. Manhattan property (rentals AND owner-occupied units) are being propped up by relief payments sent from Moms and Dads in LA, Saint Louis, San Francisco, Toledo, Louisville, Pittsburgh, and Wilmington.
That's what's happening to several unemployed friends of mine who used to be the "rich" relatives in New York. USED to.

But that's balanced by fewer small-scale trust fund brats being sent here to squander their lives and their parents' (dwindling, house-as-ATM) money.
I meant 48 million next time, not 14. I'm math-challenged, even for simple straight-line progression.
