Discussion about
we closed on our apt in October but are not moving in until June. The couple that we bought it from are living in it thru the end of January. is there any need for us to tip the staff? WE do not live there , are not doing any work until next year. We have a huge staff at our current building and do not see a need to tip twice, thoughts?

I wouldn't tip. Staff won't even know who you are. Before starting renovations, tip super to get him in good mood for your contractors and to establish good rapport--this will be key to successful renovation. More super is willing to work with you to resolve issues the better. Other staff get tipped next year.
