Discussion about
Could anyone recommend an attorney for a purchase/closing, someone who may already be familiar with The Rushmore condo would be a plus.

Thanks. I see people like specific lawyers. Maybe I should have empathised that we would prefer to gain the advantage in time and cost and experience of an attorney who has read, and is already familiar with, the Rushmore's offering plan and status.

Sorry. Should be "emphasized". Have to remember to see what spell checker is substituting.

on streeteasy, click on an apartment that was recently purchased at the Rushmore. Now click through to see the original deed, etc, filed with ACRIS. The buyer's attorney's name and phone number will appear on the documents. Then call and ask.

Seems you have to be an insider here to click through to see anything about a recently sold apartment. If not an imposition, could anyone please do that for me and get me a couple of lawyer names?

also, future80, since this is an important transaction, why don't you take the time to do your own DD?

In ACRIS, do a name search on "CRP/Extell Parcel I" and specify Deeds for doc type. Then for each one page through to the second page of the RP-5217NYC form. There're spaces for the buyer's attorney's name, but most likely illegible. The phone number should be there, though, so you can google that.

Thanks, got some names at ACRIS. Will research those I found.

Still would have liked a personal reference, but it seems no Rushmore buyers have appeared here today.
