Discussion about 125 East 12th Street #PHC
Closing in on 90 days since "in contract." Seems long for a condo and considering the speed from listing to contract. block 00558 lot 1243

maybe it went so fast the owners weren't expecting it and asked for more time to find a new place?

Sure that's possible.
Though in this climate, I think I'd even overpay for a 6 month rental and close.
It could be the buyer to.

if they're dealing with chase, it's not bad yet. with my coop sale, it took chase 4 1/2 months, the board processed everything with-in 2 weeks.

yeah coops are longer.
I'm noticing condos taking 21 to 60 days and coops 45 to 90 days to close generally.
Before I get trashed, no it's no scientific stats, just units I've followed history on.
And it sometimes helps when there is a lot of action in a building, you check their in contract date to closing date on the last 5 or 10 units' history to get a feel for that building's pace.
This building's history is quite weak for the last year as well to get a good guage.

A beautiful apartment,a bit pricey for me though, and truthfully, just out of my range.
