Discussion about
"Morgan Stanley has set aside $10.87 billion for compensation and benefits for the first three quarters of 2009, down from $11.97 billion in the same period last year" and last year was the bad year, of course.... http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20091218/bs_nm/us_morganstanley

Somehow the bulls fail to grasp that headcount being down is bad for RE. The fewer people who still have a job making more money per cap doesn't help real estate.

First three quarters of last year were not so bad, right? It was really the fourth quarter that was a disaster.
