Discussion about 7 East 14th Street #20C

$665k...can someone explain, why would you pay that for an alcove studio with a really odd layout, at least in this market? This building is decent, but similar listings here are in contract with list below $500k.

Unbbelievable. I rented a large one bedroom at 7 east 14 in the late seventies. 360/month. Moved abroad and subleased and never looked back. Sheeshh. Nice building, crappy street. If you face the back, it is very quiet.

call me crazy, but I'd rather spend $40k more and get a convertible 2 with the same maintenance on a quieter street in an admittedly not as nice doorman/elevator building (http://www.halstead.com/detail.aspx?id=1704184). Or spend about $125k less on the listings a few floors below at 7 East 14th...
