I am looking for a 1 bedroom and a home office that I can use as a sophisticated media room. Not quite a theater but still a projector and all the latest gadgets. Anyone know of people who have used home offices this way? And I'm just starting a search to buy, my budget is $1MM. Any suggestions on buildings. Also, a home office has no light, which is fine for this purpose, but the bedroom and living room must have light and a view.

Depends what you call a "media room". If you are into sound really great speakers need 14 feet to project. If you just want a flat panel and some speakers on the wall, you could have that in the living room.
