Discussion about
I am in contract for a new construction condo, but I read through the offering plan and didn't see any reference to the actual appliances that will be in my apartment. Is this normal? it is not in the contract either. But the building advertises that electrolux appliances will be included in every apartment. By signing the contract, does that entitle me to a bare space?

i agree this matt on this one and was about to say the same thing... if you are in contract you must have a lawyer, ask him rather then a group of random strangers

Scary it got to this point. Either the lawyer is inept or poster thought he could do it himself.

We had looked at new construction and the contract specified a W/D, air conditioners, DW, etc.
We had our lawyer amend it to specify "3" air conditioners. I don't believe that it was specified in the Offering plan.

I am not a lawyer, but generally if it's not in the contract, it is not legally binding. Although this doesn't mean that they won't give you the appliances like they said. Or even some other ones that are a substandard model.

Lawyer is important. Some apartments before the bubble burst were sold "unfinished" under the theory that the buyers wanted to customize. They typically had no interior walls, etc (like a loft), but I believe the offering plans were very clear about this.

And specify Electrolux ICON, or you might wind up with Electrolux subsidiary Frigidaire. I've always loved the name Frigidaire, although Electrolux is a very fancy and modern name itself. Unless you take 'lux' to mean light, in which case it's kind of boring.
