when it rains, it pours... >> Cuomo filing civil charges against BofA Bank of America and former BofA Chief Executive Ken Lewis are charged with misleading investors about the bank's acquisition of Merrill Lynch in 2008. http://www.crainsnewyork.com/article/20100204/FREE/100209935/1048
somewhere, from out exchange on another thread: "If you have a problem, and think something isn't related, say it."
OK, this thread isn't related to real estate.
don't worry sidelinesitter. The bears will try desperately to link this to Manhattan real estate, just as they do everything else that is irrelevant.
Meanwhile, the bulls will post every random chart where the line happens to slope up - stocks, junk bonds, oil, copper, pick the asset - and say that means real estate is going up. Now that I mention it, where is ericho lately anyway?
What we really need is a somewhereelse vs. ericho post-off. Most random threads started in 10 minutes wins. What do you think?
> OK, this thread isn't related to real estate.
If you think Wall Street bonuses aren't related to Manhattan RE, you need to go back a couple years and argue with some bulls!
Seems like you really do have no idea what the bulls or general public were saying a few years ago...
(but, good for you, at least you properly directed your anger this time!)
AND, even if you say this one isn't related.... the other 2 were on 1) townhouse prices and 2) fairway taking a new location.
Still holding on to that "more than half" claim?
The bonuses were paid a year ago That's over. The article is about Ken Lewis being sued. Please explain again how Ken Lewis being sued is related to Manhattan real estate. The man doesn't even live in New York.
its a negative for the markets becuase of the people and institutions involved. being that ken lewis cant plead the fifth in this hearing and they tie this into bernanke and paulson its going to get very ugly.
The best part about sideline sitter's complaining is... ALL THREE of the articles were posted by others as well. Someone else just posted the same piece today, thinking it was relevant. Did slideline jump on him? Of course not.
Methinks the guy is just trying really hard to find a reason to justify his being so crochety.
Contending that Wall Street bonuses are unrelated, thats the funny part.
SEC action was a joke. How do you settle by having the shareholders pay the fine, which was assessed because the SEC believed BAC was harming the .... shareholders?
well, this past year has not been short on irony...
Well said somewhereelse..
And as Colbert said to Eliot Spitzer, Seeing Bernanke reappointed to the Fed after havinig served on the Fed that caused the problme, should give someone like Spitzer hope that he could be governor again!
