Many Corcoran listings are missing apartment numbers - hope SE can get this fixed.
If they agents are leaving the apt# out, it's not something streeteasy can fix.
It will just require a bit more sleuthing on your part to figure it out.
Can we have a sample listing?
Actually, Corcoran agents are providing apartment numbers since they do show up under Recent Activity section. Here is an example:
Recent activity section says "Corcoran added an open house for 440 East 79th Street #8GH about 24 hours ago" but listing is not showing up "8GH":

Here is another example: "2D" is showing up under recent activity regarding an open house but not on the listing:

I'd guess Corcoran is trying to drum up some phone call traffic for the tire kickers.
As for the open houses, streeteasy may require the field where on the regular listing they don't for the unit #.
I remember a couple months ago, corcoran seemed to leave on the floorplans on streeteasy and you had to click on their links to their site to get them. Can't blame em for trying.
It's the agents. They play lots of games, the apartment numbers are just a glimpse. I've been looking on and off for a year or so, and I've run into more problems with their agents than any others, to the extent that they've actively derailed a couple of deals.
edit corcoran seemed to leave "off"....not on
This is super-annoying. Right when most firms are providing more info, Corcoran is providing less.
It's possible, everybody, that a bug in the Corcoran computer system is the culprit.
At my firm, Charles Rutenberg, our listings go from our website to Street Easy automatically, and I know this happens at other firms as well.
I've talked with a couple of Corcoran agents who seemed to be having trouble with their websites, and could not see the apartment number for my listings. Very frustrating for them. I actually edited my descriptions so the apartment number is in the body of the text because of this.
So, maybe we should hold off on passing judgment on an entire firm until their IT guy shows up for work.
then these brokers should be able to go into SE and add this piece of information. it's not rocket science.
I will tell you guys something. In the last few weeks, I have found a few final inconsistencies in listing shared data while doing my last spot checks for the new UrbanDigs analytics systems. These are the final flaws that had to be fixed. I shared these issues with Realplus, the distribution hub for rebny broker sharing systems (aka, ROLEX).
They confirmed these errors and found a few reasons why it could be happening; mainly load issues with mass data processing. This was about 13 days ago. About 9 days ago they started work on a new idea to fix these issues and they sent a memo to all member firms regarding these issues. I believe the issues were resolved over the weekend.
I can tell you if you are a broker at some major firms you likely got a mass email to this effect late last week: "Please be advised that RLS is currently experiencing technical issues which are affecting all REBNY members. This is resulting in a delay with the exchange of listing information - both incoming and outgoing - through the RLS system. They are currently working on the problem and I will pass along any addition information as I get it. Once the issue is resolved, then all listing information will automatically get transferred as normal so there is no need to resend your listing."
I am already seeing faster updates on my end. I continue to do these spot checks because in the end, I want all of us to have the fastest and most efficient sharing systems to get the most real time picture of the markets as they change. Its weird seeing the residual effects of my efforts from colleagues I know that are aware of my efforts and then send me their employing firm IT dept emails confirming it. And then seeing it up here. I can tell you all this is for everyones benefit in the end, and there are still a few things Im trying to convince the powers to be to do to make systems even faster. Its an uphill battle for me, but I hope they listen!
its a data feed error. confirmed by both Matt at StreetEasy, people in the web dept at Corcoran, and hopefully fixed soon. its not the first time that it's happened as Corcoran has been updating our internal database/website frequently these days. sorry to burst the bubble in the conspiracy theory! Lots of brokers I have talked with have been putting the unit # in the listing description to avoid any confusion if there is a tech error that's beyond our control. I really don't think anyone is trying to hide anything or make a change that would drive less traffic to our listings, but what do I know...?
Anyways, who shot JFK and did we really land on the moon?
of course, I found the errors!
"Anyways, who shot JFK and did we really land on the moon?"
LOL.... fair enough
Of course, don't try to make us believe that brokerage houses are void of conspiratorial-like endeavours either. I've seen some in house memos. :)
