Hi - I am a first time home buyer in NYC and found a co-op that I like, but it needs to be renovated – I am looking to do the following (plans should not have a problem being approved by the board): Kitchen: take down half of a wall (non-structural) to open up the kitchen, new cabinets and appliances (mid-price range) Bathroom: new everything - but no structural changes Alcove: put up wall to close off sleeping area and make 2 closets into 1 large walk in closet Floors: refinish hardwood floors Living area: install 2 California closets Does anyone have an estimate for what that would cost or can anyone recommend a contractor that they have had a good experience with that can give me an estimate for the renovations?? I want to make sure I understand what the total cost is going to be before putting in an offer. Any help/recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! [less]
Hi,
I saw your post regarding renovations. I highly recommend the General Contractor which not only renovated my apartment, but that of many client's of mine (i work in real estate) - Not only do they do quality work, are dependable/trustworthy, finish on time, but are very affordable as well. all of my clients have been extremely pleased and some have seen direct results (they put on market after renovations and were offered so much more than what they spent)
If you would like more information please feel free to contact me at db@resnewyork.com
